Port Douglas Markets has been established for over 20 years. It is a well known drawcard for thousands of tourists and locals alike, with over 100 stalls to entice and delight the senses. Beautifully fresh, organically grown produce -including fruit, vegetables, home made foods and beverages, are displayed each week by local farmers and small plot gardeners. Regularly snapped up by local consumers and tourists alike!
You will also find uniquely Australian and original arts and crafts, souvenirs, jewellery, pottery, ceramics, clothing, books, glassware and much more. There is always music, colour and vibrancy brought alive by the artists, buskers and street performers who entertain the tourists and locals alike every week.
The smells of freshly ground coffee beans and breakfast cooking will make sure you are not kept hungry for long. As you walk through the markets and choose what to eat next, as well as the traditional fare, there are also vegan, vegetarian and wholefoods choices, so no matter what your dietary requirements, the range is vast and everyone has something to choose from.
